Waiver
Waiver of Liability, Release, Assumption of Risk & Indemnity Agreement
It is the purpose of this agreement to exempt, waive and relieve releasees from liability for personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death, including if caused by negligence, including the negligence, if any, of releasees. "Releasees" include Minneapolis Stars Hockey, its affiliate associations, local associations, member teams, event hosts, other participants, coaches, officials, sponsors, advertisers, and each of them, their officers, directors, agents and employees.
If you are registering to compete and take part in one of the events via Minneapolis Stars Hockey or events scheduled on behalf of Minneapolis Stars Hockey, you must confirm that:
- You are of legal consenting adult age, in the country within which the event is being held, or you have parental or guardian consent.
- You are free of any physical, mental, or emotional disability and physically fit and capable in every way to be able to participate in this event.
- Your participation in an event is competitive and like all sports has a risk of physical injury and you fully accept responsibility for all such risks as a condition of participation.
- You understand and accept that Minneapolis Stars Hockey and the event organizers/owners do not accept any liability of any sort for bodily injury, illness or death sustained to or by you or loss or damage to any of your possessions or goods (eg: bicycle, sports equipment, money, vehicles, jewelry, clothing, cameras, etc) whatsoever and howsoever their loss or damage is caused.
- Each participant also consents to the recording of his/her voice, image, and likeness captured by any means including cameras/telephones/mobile devices while present in, at, or about the event and the transmission of these images/voices in perpetuity by the organizer free of charge, by any means and waives all moral and legal rights in and to any recordings of sound made or images taken within the Tournament venue.
- The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event in whole or in part without notice, for any reason. In such cases, a refund or partial refund may be given at the organizer's discretion but is not guaranteed.
- You and/or the guardians of the participant agree to pay in full as agreed. The due date for all payments is one (1) week before the last event.
- You and/or the guardians of the participant must cancel in writing within 7 days of accepting to be issued a partial refund. A refund may be issued at the discretion of Minneapolis Stars Hockey.
- You have read and understood the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy (as updated from time to time).
I, hereby agree to indemnify discretion and the event organizers for any and all the claims, loss, and expenses of any sort arising by reason of the Terms of Service and of my breach of the above conditions, unauthorized acts or otherwise. Any breach of these conditions or failure by me to obey the lawful directions of discretion or the event instructors hereby entitles discretion or the event organizers to terminate my participation in an event forthwith without any refund of fees or any compensation of any sort and to disqualify me automatically.
